LLTeK is pleased to release body kit styling for Audi’s new A5 coupé. Audi lauched the A5 in Switzerland and Australia back in March 2007. The coupé falls into the Grand Touring class and will compete seriously against the likes of the BMW E92 (BMW 3-Series coupé) and the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class. The Audi A5 will offer 6 choices of powerplants including a 4.2L V8 FSI producing 354 PS (349 hp/260 kW), a 3.2L V6 FSI (265PS/195kW), a 1.8L I4 FSI (168PS/125kW), a 2.7L V6 TDI (190PS/140kW) and a 3.0L V6 TDI(240PS/176kW). This brilliant new design from Audi shares many traits introduced with the Nuvolari quattro concept and has been built using Audi’s new MLP platform (Modular Longitudinal Platform) - look for it in the next generation of A4, A6 and A8 production car Audis. The platform is significantly different from previous design where engines sat over the front axle; now, with MLP, more weight and power will be located behind the front axle - producing a more even weight distribution (55/45) between the front and rear wheels. Does it sound like Audi is taking a serious run at BMW’s title? Time will tell, but it should be remembered that the difference in first “past the post” can often be attributed to who is sitting between the seat and steering wheel. Walter Maria de'Silva, designer of Audi’s A5/S5 has given Audi enthusiasts and tuners a winner. +++++Kudos
