The transformation was eye-popping - last week, LLTek was commissioned to modify an Audi A8 D3 2005 SWB (short wheel base) car to accept the single-cell large grill kit with a new front bumper. We've seen the results of this innovative transformation first rolled out for the Audi TT, and Audi A4 Cabriolet for some time now. However, this was our first hands-on experience with the A8 conversion kit and it went well. It should be noted that special procedures will be in effect for export versions of the Audi A8. The exercise in fitment was carefully recorded and documentation will be included with every kit purchased. Our customer, from New York, opted for an Audi grill with the custom-styled RS look. LLTek painted the grill's horizontal bar in matching Arctic White as per the customer's wishes and custom-fitted the license plate. No more ugly license plate hang-down fro this car. A nice touch - but we're willing to bet that most A8 owners will opt for Audi's oem matte black look. Other changes included JE side skirts, JE's rear valence and JE's quad tip sport mufflers. Not showing in these pictures is a JE trunk spoiler that will be installed shortly.
